Digital ReeL is both a product and a service. It is a solution combining licensed Digital ReeL software with the service of converting microfilm rolls to digitized images. Digital ReeL takes advantage of the current expertise of the microfilm user with an interface that mimics the look and feel of the microfilm reader-printer search process.  DIGITAL ReeL digitally captures the entire length of each microfilm roll; thereby maintaining the linear integrity of the original archive capture process.

The DIGITAL ReeL application is a thick client application that runs on the end user workstation. Alternatively, the application can be configured (with the appropriate licensing) to run in a terminal services environment. The DR application will run on any 32 bit Windows platform. For performance reasons, we recommend Windows 2000 or Windows XP on hardware that is appropriate for those operating systems.
