The first ALOS company, ALOS AG of Switzerland, was founded in 1946 to produce 
photo-technical equipment for use in the document management industry. ALOS was established in the United States in 1977 as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of microfilm equipment for Eastman Kodak. Today, their OEM customer list has grown and also includes a number of other international companies. In 1980, they began selling their full line of micrographic equipment under the ALOS label as well. ALOS is a national and international leader in document management through their lines of micrographic and electronic imaging products.
